Leah & Alex specifically planned their wedding for June so that it wouldn’t be too hot for their outdoor wedding. Alas, God had other plans for the weather Saturday but they smiled through the heat and humidity and we were blessed to not have any rain! Leah & Alex got married at Red Mill, a historic mill in Waupaca, WI that was built just before the Civil War! In addition to the mill, the property also houses winding paths, a covered bridge, and a tiny wedding chapel in the woods!Leah’s daughter affixed her veil and her son delivered a suprise letter from the groom. So precious! Then it was time for the first look:
Due to distance, I didn’t get to meet Leah or Alex until their wedding day! It was so fun to finally meet them! Leah has an amazing laugh and was super relaxed, even with a hectic day!
^^^Alex and his best man, Dave, have been friends since they were next door neighbors growing up in Chicago! Friendship goals! Leah & Alex chose to have a simple, meaningful ceremony outside the little chapel in the woods, surrounded by family and friends. I love that they made their kids a huge part of the ceremony! Congrats Leah & Alex! Thank you so much for trusting me to be part of your wedding day!
